I would like to welcome our new viewers to the website and thank all of you for your continued participation and encouragement. I am pleased to announce the addition of a paper titled "Concerning the Side Strip on the Shroud of Turin" by Dr. Alan Adler and Alan and Mary Whanger to the "Scientific Papers and Articles" page of the website. This is the first of several papers from the recent May 1997 Nice Symposium that will be reprinted on the site. This paper concludes that the samples used to carbon date the Shroud in 1988 may have been taken from a part of the cloth that was rewoven in medieval times. The article includes three highly magnified x rays made during the 1978 examination.

What is behind the illogical pressure in England to leave the EU?As ever, a kind of economic religion based on outdated and unethical neo liberalism, a system which diminishes collective regulation through the State, enhances the power of capital, and leads to ever growing inequality in economics and politics. It is s a system that feeds distrust, inhumanity, individualism, and conflict. It is a system that our forefathers who fought in two world wars, sought to get rid of. But underneath the financial interests of the City of London and the progeny of that system like Boris Johnson and his cabinet, lies the age old English quest for a route to cheap food, and, thus, lower wages. How on earth all this is supposed to benefit the majority of people in the rest of England is a mystery to any thinking person. That cheap food comes from GMOs and chlorine washed Chicken, over use of antibiotics and growth in the US, where cheap labour is also prevalent. That is why this government wants a trade deal with the US, and it is also why the US wants a Trade Deal with Britain. The US is also pushing for access to privatized health services. The problem is that the great English voting public, and especially the older generation that votes most for Brexit, have no inkling of this, an issue that Politicians and the media have kept mostly quiet about under the veil of obscurantism that surrounds the debates.

" That means trained citizen soldiers called into action for emergencies because in colonial times every able bodied man was required to be a member of the militia.
